Global offerings from JCC Global kickoff 2023

You are invited to a March 9th zoom call presenting: Jewish Peoplehood Latino America

seminal research project

Major findings from a three-year ground-breaking research project that surveyed the beliefs and practices of hundreds of Jewish leaders across the Latin American continent will be presented to the JCC Global community.

Date: Thursday, Mach 9th, 2023

Time: 12:00 p.m. NY time/ 7:00 p.m. Israel time (90 minutes)

To register: click here

The project was initiated by JCC Global and the Metta Saade Foundation who recognized a void in understanding current trends of Latin American Jewry. These trends can help design future strategies for strengthening local Jewish communities and serve as a basis for decision makers and funders, regionally and globally.

For that purpose, the prestigious Universidad Hebraica in Mexico City, the only Jewish University in Latin America, was hired to conduct and lead the project together with the partnership and sponsorship of JDC Latin America. Moreover, the JDC International Center for Community Development (JDC-ICCD) in Europe, that has been conducting similar European surveys for more than a decade, participated in the project; helping to compare and contrast the Latin American findings with the European ones.

Dr. Daniel Feinstein, Jewish Studies Chair of Universidad Hebraica and co-author of the study, will lead the session together with partners and respondents. Major findings, surprising tendencies and lessons learned will allow the unheard voices to take center stage.
