"JCC Global-From Good to Great"
Partnership 1: Dnipro, NY, Krakow

Partners:

  • JCC Solomonika, Dnipro, Ukraine

  • Edith and Carl Marks JCH of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, NY, USA

  • JCC Krakow, Krakow, Poland

Project "JCC Global RaZoom":

The RaZoom project (from rozum, “mind” in both Ukrainian and Polish) bridges educational gaps for children in Dnipro while fostering cross-cultural dialogue. Young adults from Krakow and Brooklyn tutor children in math, English, and Ukrainian through Zoom, helping them recover from years of disrupted schooling caused by COVID-19 and the war. Alongside the tutoring, the partners are developing a podcast that documents refugee stories, amplifying the voices of children and families living through displacement.

Over the summer of 2025, the first tutoring cohort successfully completed its program. A second cohort is set to launch after the High Holidays. In parallel, initial steps have been taken toward producing the refugee-story podcast, with testimonies already being collected.

Mentorship:

The CEOs and senior leaders of the three JCCs meet regularly for peer mentoring and consultation. These exchanges provide a trusted forum to share workplace challenges, explore leadership strategies, and exchange organizational insights. This process has not only supported professional growth but also deepened the sense of solidarity across the partnership.
