What?

The Dr. Mark Ramer JCC Global Hubs are cohort-based online courses designed to foster human resource development and enahance capacity building. In our upcoming Hub, we will offer a series of 9 interactive webinars, 1.5 hours each, exclusively tailored for Executive Directors of JCCs in Ukraine.

By joining the JCC Global Hubs, Executive Directors will benefit from ongoing training opportunities that address their specific needs and challenges. Our aim is to empower leaders, equip them with essential skills, and foster a supportive network that contributes to their professional growth and the overall success of JCCs in Ukraine.

 

When?

A series of 8 bi-webinars, each one 1.5 hours long (one session will be one week apart because of the High Holidays).

Time: 16:00-17:30 Israel time

Dates: September 6, September 20, September 27, October 11, October 25, November 8, November 22, December 6

 

Language: Ukrainian/Russian with some presenters speaking in English with translation

 

Target Audience: JCC Executive Directors

Why:

In recent years the JCCs in Ukraine have developed substantially and became the shining stars of their respective Jewish communities. Since the outbreak of the war, in February 2022, all the JCCs in Ukraine turned into centers for welfare and humanitarian aid while continuing to provide a wide range of educational, social and recreational programs. Each day, they continue to save lives. However, it has become clear that the JCCs need to expand their sources of income and support, as they prepare for the post-war period with optimism for a brighter future.

Description:

In this Hub, JCC Global aims to present successful and innovative models for capacity building that are tailored to the culture and current needs of JCCs in Ukraine. By doing so, we intend to provide valuable tools and strategies to enhance resilience and long-term sustainability. Additionally, this initiative will open new avenues for communication and collaboration with JCCs worldwide, fostering global connections and partnerships.

Goals:

1. Develop the capacity of JCCs in Ukraine to enhance resilience and ensure long-term sustainability.

2. Integrate new building blocks for resource development, equipping JCCs with the necessary skills and knowledge to secure diverse and sustainable sources of funding.

3. Create a safe and inclusive space for JCCs to share experiences, learn from peer organizations, and connect with the global network of JCCs
